Keystone for Schools
Students arrive at school carrying a wide range of stressors, many of which educators never see. Whether from challenges at home or the constant demands of daily life, many students begin the day with nervous systems already in a heightened state. The Keystone Program supports learning through brief, intentional nervous-system resets built into the school day, helping students settle, refocus, and return to a state where learning is possible. Keystone is a student-led program that teaches students how to recognize when their nervous system needs support and how to reset themselves in the moment. Designed for all students, Keystone strengthens emotional regulation, self-awareness, focus, and smoother transitions in a culture that keeps children in a constant “go” state.
Who It’s For
This program is designed for students who:
- Experience stress, anxiety, or overwhelm during the school day
- Struggle with attention, focus, or staying regulated in the classroom
- Are impacted by bullying, social pressure, or peer conflict
- Become overstimulated and have difficulty managing emotional reactions
- Benefit from learning practical tools to calm their body and reset when needed
What You’ll Gain
Emotional Regulation
Students learn how to recognize when their nervous system is activated and use simple tools to calm their body before emotions escalate.
Improved Focus and Readiness to Learn
By resetting the nervous system throughout the day, students are better able to pay attention, follow instructions, and engage in learning.
Reduced Overstimulation and Reactivity
Regular nervous-system resets help lower sensory overload, reducing emotional outbursts and stress-driven behavior in the classroom.
Increased Self Awareness and Confidence
Students develop awareness of their internal state and gain confidence in their ability to manage stress independently.
Stronger Coping Skills for School and Beyond
The tools students learn are portable and practical, supporting regulation not only in school, but at home, during activities, and in daily life.
How It Works
Individual Keystone programs are tailored to your unique needs and pace.
Schedule Your Free Discovery Session
We begin with a discovery session to understand your school’s needs, student population, schedule, and goals. This conversation helps determine how Keystone will be integrated into your school day in a way that is realistic and supportive.
Staff Training
Staff participate in a 90-minute training that introduces the Keystone Program, its foundations, and how nervous-system regulation supports learning. This training gives educators a clear understanding of the program, language alignment, and how Keystone fits into the school environment.
Student Assemblies
Age-appropriate, 60-minute assemblies are delivered separately for Elementary, Middle, and High School
Student Leader Training
Keystone is a student-led program in which selected student leaders are trained to deliver the curriculum to their peers. Student leaders meet once per week for eight weeks, learning how to use the manuals and confidently facilitate the program.
Daily Nervous-System Resets
The Keystone Program is implemented through brief, intentional nervous-system resets at the beginning and end of the school day, with short resets built into the start of each class.
